About OrganicSEM
OrganicSEM is me, Rob Hammond. I have a wide range of experience in online marketing (especially SEO), and building websites.
I began working on the web in 2004, for the Department for Constitutional Affairs - building and converting a number of Tribunals websites for W3C's highest level (AAA) accessibility standards. This led to a deep understanding of the content and structure of (x)HTML and CSS.
In 2005 I became Marketing Manager at Sheetmusicdirect.com and was instrumental in doubling visitors and revenue on the site two years running, through highly effective SEO, PPC, usability, and email marketing campaigns.
I joined a small start-up firm (Victor Connect) in 2007 to help build the music teacher websites Stepnote.co.uk and Stepnote.dk. As well as developing the 'Personal Matching' software behind Stepnote, I converted the software to build a dance teachers website, Danceresponse.com.
At Victor Connect, I have also helped to establish Briing.com and RoamingSims.com in the highly competitive telecoms search space through on-site SEO, and SEO strategy and recommendations.
I am self taught and highly competent in programming Perl, PHP and MySQL, and I have a basic understanding of Javascript.
